Winner with RaW

Following my successful completion of my creative writing course in October 2007, I attended a one day workshop at Southend Library with my writing friend Alan. We joined other amateur writers in constructing a few short stories for the BBC’s RaW Short story competition.

At the same time I was helping my goddaughter with her homework and together we created several entries which we entered into the competition.

In the spring of 2008 I one of 48 regional winners and attended a presentation in London hosted by Vanessa Feltz and received a year’s worth of cinema tokens, and had a tour of the BBC studios. Read my story Mr Scatterbrain and the story of Robin the Robust Routemaster here.
